The Bob Marshall Wilderness

The Bob Marshall Wilderness Bob Marshall country is big in size, grandeur, and legend. It is the second largest wilderness area in the continental US, comprising almost 1.5 million acres. No roads cross it, though it is circled by a highway about 380 miles long. Often called the "Crown Jewel" of the US wild lands, some of the great rivers of the West begin here. It is also home to almost every big game species in North America including elk, mule & whitetail deer, black & grizzly bear, moose, big horn sheep, and mountain goats. We frequently see these great animals on the trips.
