Fishing
The Bob Marshall Wilderness is home to some of the greatest fishing streams in the West. These include the Flathead, Dearborn, & Sun Rivers. The rivers start from high springs and snow fields along the Continental Divide. Because they are remote and difficult to reach, these streams offer an unparalleled opportunity to work great fishing waters, while rarely seeing another person. The waters are absolutely clear, cold, swift, and relatively shallow. They are well populated with rainbow, cutthroat, and brook trout. The fish are excellent fighters. Their sizes can range from the size of a frying pan and up to two feet.
The streams are fantastic fly fishing waters, while good spin-cast fishermen also do well. It is not uncommon to catch 30 or more fish on a single hot summer day. This is a great and truly unique experience for the beginner fisherman or the seasoned veteran
