Since the early 1930's, we have been bringing summer pack trips and fishing vacations into the mountains of Montana. A Lazy H has always been a family-owned and operated outfit that promises the highest quality trips to every one of our guests.

Pack Trips

We take horse pack trips into the beautiful Bob Marshall Wilderness and surrounding areas from June through September.

Our pack trips are designed for your comfort and enjoyment and not as tests of endurance.

Guests ride our friendly horses at a walking pace, which means you need not be an experienced rider. Guests of all ages enjoy this camping experience; However, we request that children be at least eight years of age.

Your trip will cover about 70 miles of wilderness in 7-10 days. On the days between riding to new campsites, guests can spend their time leisurely by relaxing, hiking, fishing or taking scenic horseback rides.

2008 Summer Pack Trip Rates

Summer pack trip adventures are $230/person per day. This includes everything except your personal belongings, fishing gear and fishing license. Additional lodging and transportation to and from the ranch is not included in the base rate.

Deposits

We require a 30% deposit to confirm a summer pack trip. We are happy to hold your reservation for up to two weeks without a deposit.

Discounts

We are pleased to offer the following discounts, which apply to the pack trip portion of the fee. The dicounts apply to the party booking at the same time and going on the same trip. Discounts do not apply to lodging or transportation charges. There is a 10% discount for parties of 5 to 8, and a 15% discount for parties of 9 to 12.
